Das ZDF - Mittagsmagazin hat gemeinsam mit der Nachrichtensendung heute zu einem live-Gespräch mit Gastgebering Susanne Conrad eingeladen und einen kleinen Film gezeigt. --- Der Saarländische Rundfunk (www.sr.de) in der Gestalt von Frau Dr. Ricarda Wackers war so freundlich, ein Radio-Kurzportrait zu produzieren, und dies gleich in 2 Fassungen: Kurz, für den Pop-Hörer, und lang für den Langes gewöhnten Klassik-Hörer. Germany's foremost tv station ZDF has invited to a live talk with host Susanne Conrad in the popular show Mittagsmagazin and has shown a small, nice feature. --- The Saarländischer Rundfunk (www.sr.de), a German public radio station bordering to France and Luxembourg was friendly enough to produce a radio portrait. They made two versions of it: A short one for pop-music listeners, and a longer version for the afficionados of classical music. | Nach einem grösseren Update finden Sie nun auf der Website unter "Kritiken" auch Radio- und Fernsehbeiträge! --- Nach dem ZDF hat nun auch die Deutsche Welle (DW) eine Sendung über Michael Jelden gebracht (link). --- Was lange währt, wird endlich gut... Manche haben es vielleicht bemerkt: Das für Januar angekündigte Portrait im ZDF kam und kam nicht. Tsunamis, historische Atombomben etc. habe den Sendetermin weiter und weiter verschoben. Anfang April wurde die langerwartete Sendung dann endlich ausgestrahlt. Im Internet kann man das Portrait auf den Seiten des ZDF "nach"-sehen. Das Portrait hielt sich in der Publikumswertung während der ganzen Woche auf Platz eins - dann kam die nächste Sendung. So ist das Leben: Panta rhei - alles fliesst, alles ist vergänglich... |
After a site-wide update there are also radio and TV features on the
website. --- After the feature on ZDF also DW TV (Deutsche Welle) has had a portrait on Michael Jelden (link). --- Good things come to those who wait... Some might have noticed that the long announced TV feature has been postponed. Tsunamis, historical H-bombs and other monsters have been responsible. The long-awaited feature was finally broadcasted in the beginning of this month. For those of who have missed it (how dare you...) and who yet want to see it: Here's it on the internet, on the ZDF's pages! (Sorry, in German only... But you might want to give Systran a try). The portrait apparently was popular enough to remain no. 1 in the website ranking - then came the next edition of the show. That's life: Nothing last forever... |

| Die italienische Presseagentur ANSA hat ein Portrait veröffentlicht, das es bis in die Hauptnachrichten des italienischen Fernsehens RAI gebracht hat, und das sich im Internet über 2 Wochen auf der Splash-Seite der RAI gehalten hat und von dort um die Welt ging: Über Spanien und Frankreich bis nach Venezuela! Hier die RAI-Seite (gespiegelt, da sie ja ständig aktualisiert wird), und hier die Meldung der ANSA. Bei Dynamic ist vor etwa einem Jahr auch eine Version des Adagio erschienen - was ich nicht wusste. Welch ein Zufall: Nach 200 Jahren Schlaf wurde das Adagio Dornröschengleich wachgeküsst - von Zweien! Es lohnen sich in jedem Fall beide Versionen, schon wegen der verschiedenen Orchestrierung, die einen sehr differenzierten Blick auf das engelsgleiche Adagio ermöglicht. (Jelden - Quarta).

Italian press agency ANSA has published a portrait, which has made into the prime time news on RAI television and which has been on the splash page of their internet site for over two weeks and from there went around the world: From Italiy to France and Spain and even Venezuela. Here's the RAI page (mirrored, they update their news section once in a while...), here is ANSA's article. Dynamic has also published the Adagio, ca. one year before my version. I regret this, but I really did not know. What a coincidence - After sleeping 200 years the beaty has been kissed by two... Anyway, both versions are worth to be listened to. The two different orchestrations enable the careful listener to get an unusually differentiated view on this angelic Adagio! (Jelden - Quarta).

The portrait was produced in Rome and Berline, in December 2004 for the show "Aspekte". Besides interveiws on Jelden's "other" talents (lingustics, opera management), the portrait has live and "uncut" performances of works by Bach, Paganini, Gershwin. |

Satz erstmals eingespielt Neuentdeckter Paganini erstmals auf CDMit einer kleinen musikalischen Sensation wartet das exclusive Klassiklabel HERA auf:Das Allround-Talent Michael Jelden hat die Violinkonzerte Nr. 2 und Nr. 4 von Nicoló Paganini neu aufgenommen und dabei erstmals den ursprünglich vom Komponisten vorgesehenen 2. Now Available!Press releaseViolinist Michael Jelden has recorded "La campanella" with a newly discovered 2nd movement Newly discovered Paganini for the first time on CDThe label HERA presents a small musical sensation:In his new recording of Nicoló Paganini's violin concertos no. 2 and no. 4 violinist michael Jelden has recorded for the first time the 2nd movement originally composed for the concerto no. 2 "La Campanella", by Paganini himself. While researching in a Roman library, he found the newly discovered Adagio in Paganini's manuscript of the 2nd concerto, standing even before the known Adagio actually played everywhere. Since the manuscript of the Adagio consists merely of the solo part and sketches of the orchestra score, Jelden has orchestrated the oeuvre, making available one of Paganini's most intriguing and beautiful compositions. On May 29, 2004, german radio stations SWR2 has presented the recording of the Adagio to the public. The CD HERA02115 (distributed in Germany by Klassik Center Kassel (homepage) (HER2115), in BeNeLux by New Baltic, in Japan by Aria CD, for other countries please contact HERA) is another recording in the typical HERA-style: No studio recording, but a recording from the concert hall. Minimal yet first class microphony maintains and enhances an authentical "live" atmosphere. The Vogtland-Philharmony Greiz/Reichenbach under the baton of Stefan Fraas supports the solo violin part perfectly, and dazzles with impulsive musicianship in the orchestral parts.
