"Michael Jelden owes nothing to the wizardry of the two Paganini
concertos. Dynamical play with gorgeous sound!".

"Michael Jelden is up to every trick of virtuoso violin playing.
Not a brooding but scintillating.
Even in the most complex and difficult passages he never looses
control, his intonation remains flawless, his sound slender and
expressive, like the sound of the greatest fo all times. No phrasing
is accidental, no accent without reason, no ornament mere accessory.
He is one of the real great violinists!"

Italian newspapers.
"... Jelden is one of the most admired violinists of the past
years."
After even abroad (e. g. in Spain, Venezuela) many newspapers
had printed the article, TG2, the evening news on RAI's Television,
had featured Michael Jelden. The article staid on the splash-page
of their website for more than 2 weeks! (local

Jenö Hubay: Scènes de la Csárdá ;
Jelden / Slovak State Philharmonic:
"Electrifying debut!"
"...Jelden is a brilliant, fiery performer of this breathtaking
music. He makes use of all tricks from the repertory of violinistic
seduction. He loves to show what he is capable of - just as a Paganini
with gypsy blood... This recording must be seen as cornerstone of
the catalogue."

Wohlige Schauer, Klavier und Geige im Marmorsaal - Jelden /
Faigen
"And how he plays! The violin groans, rejoices, cheers and
roars with a warm and hot sound, that shivers run down the spines
of the audience. This temperament is also of benefit to Beethoven's
"Kreutzer" sonata, in which Michael Jelden scintillates
with youthful lights, giving the piece an exiting freshness.
After the intermission the violinist filled the audience with enthusiasm
with a never-ending wealth of his technical refinement and abundance
of colors of sound. They should have served "Bull's Blood"
during the intermission, instead of Prosecco!"

Wolfgang Birtel: CD-Neuheiten in Après-Midi (SR 2)
"...I was curious, how Michael Jelden would play, and his
interpretation was not at all to disappoint me: his Khachaturian
is full of vitality, exiting, impulsive and powerful. Sometimes
you can even hear the former csárdás-player...
Michael Jelden plays the first movement of the concerto very impressively,
accompanied by the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and Gustavo Plis-Sterenberg.
Knowing that the recording of this incredibly difficult score has
been made with hardly any cutting or post-editing the respect for
the performance of the artist is getting even bigger. The slow sections
are free, expressive and colorful, and have beautiful dialogues.
After all, this is a very convincing performance of the violinist
and the colorful play of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and Gustavo
Plis-Sterenberg."
